Weight Loss Program

 

Learn how to lose weight in a healthy and natural way. This is a 3-month program is designed to teach you how to lose weight as well as motivate you to take action. This program includes:

  • An initial consultation to determine current lifestyle habits, health conditions and weight loss goals.
  • An analysis of your current eating habits and foods kept in your home. The nutritionist will determine which habits to keep, which to modify and which to get rid of completely.
  • Ideas for healthy meals and a detailed meal plan that doesn’t get boring. The nutritionist can also help you adapt your favorite ethnic recipes so that you don't have to give up the foods you love. 
  • A cooking demonstration and a visit to the grocery store with the nutritionist to help you learn how to choose healthy items.
  • Tips on lifestyle changes you can make to prevent diseases linked to excess weight such as diabetes and hypertension.
  • A customized exercise plan that you’ll be able to stick to along with motivation to help you reach your goal.
  • Weekly phone check-ins with the nutritionist to ensure you are staying on plan.
  • A mid-point and final weigh-in and progress assessment during the 3-month period.

This program can be customized for families wishing to take on the weight loss journey together.

 Diabetes Control Program

 

If you suffer from Type 2 diabetes then this program is for you. You’ll learn what to eat to keep your blood glucose in check. This program focuses on nutritional and lifestyle changes you can make in addition to the medicine that your doctor may have prescribed.  It includes:

  • An initial consultation to understand your unique needs and lifestyle habits
  • An analysis of your current eating habits and foods kept in your home. The nutritionist will determine which habits to keep, which to modify and which to get rid of completely.
  • The nutritionist will help you modify your favorite recipes to better suit your health condition. This means that you do not need to give up many of the foods that you love, including the ethnic foods that you may be accustomed to.
  • A 1 hour cooking class to show you how to make one of the recipes.
  • This program can also be customized to other conditions such as hypertension, arthritis, and anemia.

The nutritionist conducts this program under the supervision of a practising physician.

Healthy Cooking Classes

 

Learn how to cook healthy meals for you and your family hands-on with a cooking class. Jessie, the nutritionist, will come to your home and show you how to make healthy meals based on the types of foods that you love. Jessie has experience with many types of cuisine so you can be assured the recipes will satisfy your tastebuds. The classes are normally one hour in length. A printed recipe and complimentary gift are included.
